Green Update

Posted by Keith Redfearn on 27 November 2019

On completion of the season Dave and his small team have continued to work on the green.

The green was 'top dressed' with 5 tonnes of dressing spread over the whole area.  Subsequently Contractors were brought in to 'tine' the green and subsequently ''verti drain' the area - latter involving punching 8 inch holes into the green to improve both drainage and increase the volume of water reaching the root sysatems.

In addition the green has conrinued to be both cut and fertilised throughout the period.  Already improvements are visible to the naked eye and last week the green was 'swept' to remove the growing amount of leaves and sedlings that have been deposited.

Rest assured Dave and the team will continue to work on the green for everyones benefit in 2020.
